Supreme Committee members inspect vaccination progress in Salalah

SALALAH: A number of members of the Supreme Committee tasked with tackling developments resulting from coronavirus (Covid-19), chaired by Sayyid Hamoud bin Faisal al Busaidy, Minister of Interior, went on tour of the Sultan Qaboos Youth Complex for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah to follow on the progress of the vaccination process of target segments within the National Immunization Strategy against Covid-19.


Members of the Supreme Committee were briefed on the procedures, from registering till taking the vaccine, and the method of coordination in receiving people eligible for vaccination with full adherence to health measures.


Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar, stressed the importance of taking the vaccines and to continue adhering to the preventive measures in order to combat Covid-19.


Dhofar has the lowest vaccination rate in the Sultanate of only 42%, said Sayyid Sultan, who encouraged all people eligible for the vaccines to get vaccinated as soon as possible to protect themselves and the society. -- ONA
