Reemi, in f Bilad Al Shuhoum in the Wilayat of Ibri, which is about 70 kilometers from the center of the willayat, acquires an extraordinary glamour among the mountains, the picturesque nature and wonderful views. It has many attractive features for tourism potentails and its location is unique, making it a green oasis worth visiting.


During the year, Reemi enjoys a cold winter climate and a mild summer, surrounded by high mountains, plain heights, farms and orchards, in addition to the diversity of its agricultural crops due to the abundance of groundwater, well water and springs.


Reemi gets crowds of visitors from the residents of Al Dhahirah Governorate and the other governorates of the Sultanate for recreation and enjoying its natural beauties, as it a preferred destination for tourists.


villagers in Reemi enjoy farming and it is their main source of income. Not practicing it as only a job that they have to do, but they love the details of their daily routine. They produce the best types of mango, lemon, pomegranate. The fresh environment, abundant agricultural crops and water gives a relief to those villagers who look always smiling and satisfied.


The town of Bilad Al-Shahoum consists of three floors and is distinguished by its construction inspired by the arts of Omani architecture and engineering, and there is a water well inside it. Perhaps the most famous tower in this ancient fort is the Wind Tower, which overlooks the lush oases.


This alluring nature make the historical landmarks shine as the greenery mixes with the brown mud to produce a picture that is unmatched and can’t be found in many places. Reemi fortress, which is the largest fortification of Bilad al-Shahoum, has three floors and is distinguished by its construction inspired by the Omani architecture and engineering. Inside it there is a water well that is still present. Perhaps the most famous tower in this ancient fort is the Wind Tower, which overlooks the lush oases.


The visitor can reach Reemi in Bilad Al Shahoum via paved roads, whether coming to it from the South Al Batinah Governorate via the Rustaq-Ibri road or from the North Al Batinah North via the Sohar-Yanqul-Ibri road.
