Meteor shower to light up Oman skies

Muscat: The sky of the Sultanate is currently witnessing the phenomenon of meteor showers, which will continue until August 24, and their peak will fall from the evening of next Thursday until the early hours of Friday morning, August 13.


It will fall at a rate of 60 meteors per hour at a speed of up to 72 kilometers per second, said Oman News agancy.
