SALALAH: The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology, said that it is finalizing procedures to roll out tenders for the reconstruction of viaducts on Wadi Adonab and the construction of Al Mughsail bridge on the Raysout-Al Mughsail road in Dhfoar Governorate.
The ministry will shortly complete the procedures to roll out a tender for the construction of Wadi Afoul bridge and rehabilitation of Arjout-Sarfait road to avoid disruptions during heavy rains. The aforementioned roads are among the most important main roads that link the western wilayats of the governorate to the Wilayat of Salalah while the Arjout-Sarfait road links Dhofar Governorate to the brotherly Republic of Yemen through the Sarfait border outlet.
At the beginning of this year, the ministry completed the rehabilitation of the water drainage system in Wadi Ghadun, Wadi Aidam and other valleys. The rehabilitation of these valleys was executed with high quality to ensure permanent solutions to the problem of road disruption.
