

MUSCAT: In implementation to the Royal directives issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to expedite employment of national job-seekers, and in continuation to the national efforts exerted by the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) to allow the chance for citizens to join the military service, the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), in coordination with the ministry of labour, continues to complement the required recruitment procedures.
The applicants who pass the evaluation tests will join the military service as cadets with RNO.
RNO employs its capacities, expertise and means of transportation to provide a suitable environment for speedy and seamless procedures.
The Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) continues to receive those who meet the general recruitment conditions in accordance to the timeframe for the recruitment procedures and employment in the corps of SAF and the other departments of the ministry of defence in cooperation with the ministry of labour.
Regarding the RNO’s preparations for the recruitment procedures and training programmes for new cadets, Lieutenant Commander Mohammed bin Salim al Kalbani said: “Within the framework of the plans aimed to speed up the implementation of the employment initiatives, the RNO has begun receiving citizens applying for jobs through the advertisement published by RON in coordination with the ministry of labour. All the applicants will undergo several stages of evaluation and the successful among them will join the Sultan Qaboos Naval Academy (SQNA) for training in order to serve at RNO.” — ONA
