Ministry moves to expedite employment initiatives

In the implementation of the directives issued by His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to expedite the employment initiatives and the appointment of citizens in various sectors, the Ministry of Labour held a joint meeting with the director-generals of human resources at different government units on Friday.


The meeting aimed to lay down a time frame for the appointment of nationals through job grades, the replacing of expat workers by nationals, or the appointment on temporary contracts or part-time jobs according to the actual needs.


The meeting confirmed that the government units should commit to speed up the appointment procedures according to a certain timeframe.


The Ministry of Labour affirmed that according to the Royal directives, the financial grades will be provided in accordance with the approved employment plan and the ministry will follow up the employment procedures in different sectors and will announce the steps for implementing the Royal directives regarding the employment of nationals.
