OCO provides aid to families in Yemen, Somalia

MUSCAT, May 5 - The Oman Charitable Organisation (OCO) said it has distributed 21,000 packages to families in Al Mahrah Governorate and 24,000 packages in Hadramaut Governorate in Yemen. The charitable organisation said that additionally 34,000 packages have been distributed by OCO in eight regions in Somalia.

The distribution process was conducted by OCO teams who exerted great efforts to cover the targeted areas. The Governor of Al Mahrah Governorate, Rajih Said Bakarit, received OCO’s aid caravan which comprised 84 trucks loaded with food materials and oversaw the distribution process. He praised the humanitarian and social assistance provided by the Sultanate. The OCO said that it has allocated 380,000 Ramadhan packages to Omani families in all the governorates of the Sultanate.
