One person lost his life while four others were injured following a collision between six vehicles in Izki on the Nizwa-Muscat road. As per the information provided by ROP, a driver of one of the vehicles lost control and got deviated to the opposite track. The injured has been transferred to the Nizwa Hospital of which some of them are said to be critical.
In a separate accident, ROP informed that a collision between a locomotive, a trailer and three vehicles in Wadi al Aqab resulted in the death of a person. One person (with critical injuries) and while three others with moderate injuries were transferred to the Samail hospital.
