Holistic Wellness –
As Ramadhan comes to a close, it’s only befitting for the final purification of body, mind and soul — this time, with the help of Oman’s resinous gold Frankincense.
In Natural Sciences, it belongs under the Sun. Further breaking down: its energy centre is the forehead and crown and its affiliation is the nervous, respiratory and immune system.
Aside from its many uses, its physiological effects are: anti-depressive, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, analgesic, stomachic, expectorant, beautification of face and body and it’s also very aromatic.
Whether you’re in need of positive upliftment, to connect more deeply with the self or higher power, to release nervous tension in the mind and body, or to enjoy the rich aroma of the world’s most ancient incense resin, Frankincense is a warm and comforting companion to meditation, contemplation, and your own unique spiritual evolution.
For over 5,000 years it has been a vital part of the Omani culture. Almost all the Frankincense [Olebanum], in the world, grows and is harvested exclusively in Oman, popularly referred to as Al-Luban, and comes in many types.
Its quality is based on colour, purity, aroma, age, and shape. Silver and Hojari are considered the highest grades, and has reigned supreme as the most valuable, widely used incense in the world.
From Arabian kings to ancient Roman emperors and humble Catholic monks, fine incense and spice merchants of the ancient Orient, it has influenced the divine connection between Gods and humans for millennia. In addition, many traditional medical practices utilise it in the treatment of countless physical ailments and mental imbalances.
Frankincense can be consumed as a tea/tincture; applied as an oil/salve; or burnt as an incense.
