Al Amerat Club produced a dominant attacking display to defeat Fanja Club 84-41 in the 2026-27 Under-17 Basketball League at Al Amal Club’s indoor arena.

Al Amerat controlled the contest throughout the four quarters, combining quick attacking movement and efficient finishing with disciplined defensive organisation. Their pressure restricted Fanja’s scoring opportunities, particularly during the opening period, while their consistent offensive output allowed them to extend the margin as the match progressed.

The quarter scores were 19-0, 16-15, 18-8 and 31-18, with Al Amerat winning each period on their way to a convincing 43-point victory.

Al Amerat made an imposing start and immediately established their authority. Their players moved the ball effectively, created space around the basket and converted their opportunities, while their defence prevented Fanja from finding any attacking rhythm.

Fanja struggled to break through Al Amerat’s defensive structure and ended the first quarter without scoring, allowing Al Amerat to build a 19-0 advantage.

Fanja returned with a much-improved performance in the second period and began to make better use of their attacking opportunities. They scored 15 points and pushed Al Amerat throughout the quarter, but their opponents maintained a narrow edge by adding 16 points.

That gave Al Amerat a comfortable 35-15 lead at half-time, with their dominant opening quarter continuing to separate the two teams.

Al Amerat regained firmer control after the interval and maintained their attacking intensity during the third quarter. They scored 18 points while limiting Fanja to eight, stretching their advantage to 30 points at 53-23 heading into the final period.

The fourth quarter produced the highest scoring spell of the match as both teams committed more players to attack. Fanja delivered their best offensive return of the contest with 18 points, but Al Amerat responded emphatically.

Al Amerat registered 31 points in the closing quarter, their highest total in any period, to further widen the gap and complete an emphatic 84-41 victory.

The result reflected Al Amerat’s superiority at both ends of the court, with the team maintaining its focus and attacking efficiency from the opening whistle until the end of the match.
