Alongside the sporting competition, the OSSA, in cooperation with the Oman Olympic Committee, organised the Young Athletes Forum for participating students and supervisors.

The forum addressed several areas aimed at supporting and developing young athletes, including an introduction to the Athletes’ Commission, the rights and responsibilities of aspiring athletes, and mechanisms for safeguarding young participants.

Other sessions focused on developing athletes’ mental and sporting abilities, the pathway from emerging athlete to champion and Olympian, as well as an interactive dialogue with young athletes.

The forum sessions were delivered by Asaad al Hasani, Mohammed al Habsi, Nasser al Riyami and Khalifa al Jabri.

With the group stage now completed, attention turns to the semifinals as the participating school teams look to secure places in the finals and compete for honours in the fifth edition of the School Beach Games.
