

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) have arrested five Asian nationals in two separate cases involving theft and suspected drug trafficking.
In the first incident, the Al Dakhiliyah Governorate Police Command arrested an Asian national for allegedly stealing money, mobile phones and other electronic devices from a commercial establishment in the Wilayat of Bahla.
In a separate operation, the Directorate General for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances arrested four Asian nationals for possessing various quantities of narcotic substances and psychotropic tablets with the intention of trafficking them.
Legal procedures are being completed against the suspects in both cases, the ROP said.
