The UAE’s Ministry of Defence has said its air force responded to a drone over its territorial waters, approaching from Iran.
It did not provide further details on the drone, including whether it was shot down or hit its intended target.
In a statement, the ministry affirmed that its armed forces “remain on a high state of readiness to address any potential threats, while air defence systems continue to monitor and safeguard the country’s airspace around the clock”.
The UAE Ministry urged the public to rely exclusively on official sources for information and to refrain from circulating rumors or inaccurate information.
