Dhofar: Consumer protection officials have seized 2,763 kilograms of expired fish from a commercial establishment in Dhofar Governorate.

The operation was carried out by the Directorate General of Consumer Protection in Dhofar, in cooperation with Dhofar Municipality.

Inspectors also discovered that the production and expiry dates displayed on the products had been manipulated, in violation of the Consumer Protection Law and regulations governing the circulation of food products.

The Consumer Protection Authority said legal measures had been initiated against the establishment, while the seized products were held in accordance with the applicable procedures.

The seizure forms part of continuing inspection campaigns aimed at protecting consumer health and ensuring the safety of products available in the market.
