Omani team competes in US Adobe Global Graphic Design Championship

CALIFORNIA: An Omani team participated in the Adobe Global Graphic Design Championship 2026, held in Anaheim, California, bringing together students and creative professionals in graphic design from around the world.


The Omani team comprised three students who qualified through the National Graphic Design Championship — Sheikha al Yafai, Firas al Nuaimi and Shahm al Shabibi — along with a supervisory and organisational team.


The participants advanced through several competitive stages at the national level, including Adobe-accredited professional tests, practical projects and an intensive training programme.

The international championship featured practical challenges requiring participants to develop design solutions using Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. The challenges assessed creativity, innovation and time management, with projects focusing on non-profit organisations and community initiatives.


The United States won first place, followed by Brazil in second and Malaysia in third.


Oman’s participation builds on the National Graphic Design Championship, organised by Vision and Achievement International in cooperation with Al Qima Al Ulya Company and in partnership with several government and private-sector entities. More than 850 contestants from various governorates participated in the national championship.


Zawan bint Khalfan al Akhzami, CEO of Vision and Achievement International, said Oman’s participation in the Adobe Global Championship reflects the country’s growing digital-skills ecosystem and the capabilities of Omani talent in design and digital creativity.


She added that the participation forms part of a strategy to develop a new generation of national talent equipped with advanced digital skills. – ONA
