Muscat: Khareef rainfall activity over Dhofar and convective cloud development over the Al Hajar Mountains are expected to continue through the coming week, according to the Civil Aviation Authority's National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre.
The authority's latest weekly forecast indicates that Khareef conditions will remain active along the coasts and mountains of Dhofar, with intermittent rain expected at the beginning of the week. Rainfall activity is forecast to gradually ease from Wednesday onwards, although occasional showers are still likely through the weekend.
Meanwhile, convective cloud formation is expected over the Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas. The forecast suggests scattered to moderate thunderstorm activity from Monday to Wednesday, with a stronger likelihood of widespread cloud development on Thursday and Friday. Activity is expected to weaken over the weekend.
