MUSCAT: Muscat Municipality, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police (ROP), announced the temporary closure of the al Amerat–Bausher Mountain Road for those coming from the Wilayat of Al Amerat towards the Wilayat of Bausher.
The closure took effect from the evening of Thursday, July 23, and remains in place until the evening of Saturday, July 25.
According to the municipality, the closure is required to facilitate maintenance works, including the removal of loose rocks from the roadside protective barriers, as part of efforts to improve safety along the route.
Motorists are advised to use alternative routes during the closure and follow the traffic signs and directions in the area.
