Iran’s military claimed that it launched drones at US military facilities at Camp Doha in western Kuwait.
The Iranian military said its forces struck “ammunition depots” and “ground forces command logistics equipment” at the base in response to the US’s “repeated aggression,” a statement carried by Tasnim news agency said.
The military said that Camp Doha is a major support hub for US personnel and equipment in the region.
Kuwait was hit by Iranian attacks on electricity generation and seawater desalination facilities, authorities said.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy said on Monday evening that fires broke out at several facilities following the attacks.
The extent of the damage is still being assessed, while repair and restoration efforts are being prepared.
Several units were taken offline as a precautionary measure to protect infrastructure and maintain the stability of electricity and water supplies.
