

Muscat: The Oman Meteorology Department has forecast a gradual but marked rise in temperatures across the coastal areas overlooking the Sea of Oman and the desert regions from Sunday evening, with the hot spell expected to continue on July 20 and 21.
According to the forecast, daytime temperatures are expected to range from the mid to upper 40s Celsius, with some locations likely to approach 50°C.
People are advised to avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated and follow heat safety precautions, particularly those working outdoors.
