MUSCAT: The Oman Observer has launched a dedicated daily digital sports supplement for the FIFA World Cup 2026, giving readers comprehensive coverage of the tournament’s biggest stories, match reports and memorable moments. Published each day around midday, the digital edition is designed to keep pace with the previous night’s action, providing match results, fixture previews, standout performances, exclusive features and the latest developments from across the tournament. The supplement combines timely reporting with striking page designs, high-quality photography, player spotlights, fan stories, schedules and key statistics, offering football enthusiasts an engaging and accessible reading experience. The initiative complements the newspaper’s regular print edition, which is produced overnight, ensuring readers can follow the World Cup through both digital and print platforms. With dedicated coverage, distinctive layouts and visually rich graphics, the daily digital supplement enables fans to stay connected to every stage of the tournament and keep up with the latest action as it unfolds. The 2026 FIFA World Cup is being co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, marking the first time the tournament has been staged by three nations. It is also the first World Cup to feature 48 teams and 104 matches, making it the largest edition in the competition’s history. The tournament is being played across 16 host cities in North America, with the United States hosting most matches, Canada staging its first men’s World Cup fixtures and Mexico becoming the first country to host World Cup matches in three different editions.
