MUSCAT: The Military and Security Medical City on Tuesday signed an agreement to acquire a modern robotic surgery system. The agreement seeks to develop the Medical City’s healthcare services and adopt the latest global medical technologies.

The new system provides advanced technologies, including high-resolution 3D vision and robotic arms that give the surgeon greater accuracy during operations. It also improves clinical outcomes, expands the volume of treatment solutions and supports the training of medical and technical staff.

The agreement is in pursuance of the Medical City’s ongoing efforts to enhance its medical and operational capabilities and consolidate its position as a leading health institution that offers world-standard treatment services. It is also in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 to establish an advanced and sustainable health sector. — ONA
