Muscat: The Tax Authority concluded its awareness-raising tour in Dhofar under the theme ‘Sustainable Tax Partnership and Renewed Awareness’, as part of a field-based awareness programme being implemented across several governorates in the Sultanate of Oman.

The campaign aims to enhance tax awareness, strengthen the culture of voluntary compliance, and contribute to achieving tax justice through direct engagement with the business community.

Tamim bin Mohammed al Khawaldi, CEO of Tax Compliance, said the campaign forms part of the Authority's strategy to strengthen its partnership with taxpayers through direct meetings with CEOs of companies, institutions and investors. These meetings provide an opportunity to answer their inquiries and raise awareness of tax procedures, obligations and relevant tax legislation.

He added that the campaign included visits to businesses across various sectors. Al Khawaldi emphasised that the tax compliance is a national responsibility that contributes to sustaining businesses and stimulating economic growth.

The Authority noted that the campaign represents a sustainable awareness-raising approach that it plans to continue implementing across the governorates of Oman in support of the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
