Muscat: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has issued its weekly weather bulletin, forecasting Khareef activity in Dhofar Governorate and cloud development over the Al Hajar Mountains and adjoining areas during the coming days.

According to the bulletin issued on June 28, Khareef activity is expected over Dhofar, with chances of intermittent drizzle and scattered rain during the week. The forecast covers the period from Monday, June 29, to Sunday, July 5.

The authority also forecast the development of convective clouds over the Al Hajar Mountains and nearby areas, with activity expected to be more noticeable on Monday before becoming limited to scattered levels during the rest of the week.

The CAA said forecasts from the fourth day onward fall under the medium-range category and should be treated as preliminary indicators. It urged the public to follow daily bulletins issued by the National Multi Hazard Early Warning Centre for the latest updates.
