

Muscat: The Environment Authority presented the Oman Climate Week agenda at the Ambassadors' Gathering on Monday morning at the Intercity Hotel.
The President of the Environment Authority, Dr Abdullah al Amry, in his speech urged the ambassadors to invite their respective ministers and researchers for the annual event that is to take place from September 14th to September 16th, 2026, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
"We also expect a big participation from the private sector from the region. The technology and also the policies and procedures in order to support the climate efforts to achieve the goals to help us and the region and the world to fulfil the requirements of environmental and climatic conditions.
We hope your country is going to be involved in this important event," he said.
He added that with the event being held within two months from the climate summit, it would be an important platform to exchange ideas on how to participate in the climate summit.
A short introductory video about Aman Climate Week, highlighting the vision, objective, and key themes of the event, was presented. There were also question-and-answer sessions.
The highlights of Oman Climate Week to be held in September are the exhibition that is to showcase innovative climate, sustainability and environmental solutions and the conferences – the Sustainable Waste Management conference in partnership with UTAS and the Renewable and Climate Change Conference in partnership with Gutech.
The Climate Week is also designed to facilitate partnerships, investment opportunities and strategic connections, in addition to master classes and technical workshops with expert-led sessions focused on practical knowledge and capacity building.
OQ is to host an Ecothon at Oman Climate Week that will be focusing on developing innovative solutions for climate, sustainability, and environmental challenges.
Other important elements of OCW are the Women in Climate programme — celebrating and advancing women's leadership in sustainability and climate action — as well as the platform titled Youth for Climate — empowering the next generation of climate leaders and changemakers.
