MANAH: The Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers in the Wilayat of Manah celebrated the conclusion of its 61st session on Wednesday, marking the successful completion of an intensive eight-week Arabic language programme for international students.


The course combined intensive Arabic language instruction with a complementary cultural programme featuring lectures, Arabic calligraphy lessons, a language partner initiative and a variety of cultural activities designed to enhance students’ linguistic and cultural understanding.


Speaking at the ceremony, Mustafa bin Hamad Ambusaidi, a member of the institute’s teaching staff, praised the students’ commitment and progress throughout the programme, highlighting their language development and active engagement in the institute’s cultural and social activities.

Representing the graduating students, Amelia from Poland shared her experience of learning Arabic and reflected on the knowledge and skills she gained during the programme.


The event featured a visual presentation titled 'A Journey in the Realm of Arabic', showcasing the experience of student Ben from Vietnam, while graduating students presented an Arabic musical performance celebrating the diversity of their cultural backgrounds and educational experiences.


Another presentation, 'The Harvest of the Course', highlighted key lessons, activities, visits and field trips undertaken during the programme.


The session brought together 30 male and female students from countries including Türkiye, India, Uzbekistan, France, Germany, Russia, Japan, Slovakia, Hungary, the Comoros and the US, reflecting the institute’s growing international reach and reinforcing its position as a global centre for teaching and promoting the Arabic language. - ONA
