MANAH: The Sultan Qaboos Institute for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers, located in the Wilayat of Manah, Al Dakhiliyah Governorate, on Monday welcomed 45 male and female students of different nationalities. The students will join an Arabic language learning course that will run until February 12, 2026.

This batch brings together students who hail from 13 countries around the world: Japan, South Korea, Uzbekistan, France, Türkiye, Iran, Belarus, Russia, Denmark, Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Tanzania and Mongolia.

The welcoming programme included a meeting with the staff, a tour of the institute’s facilities, an introduction to the educational services and a visual presentation about the Sultanate of Oman.

The course comprises 160 hours of Arabic language study, cultural and educational programmes, trips to historical and natural sites and lessons in Arabic calligraphy. A key component is the Language Partner Programme, which enhances opportunities for linguistic and cultural interaction with the local (native) community.

The institute boasts a special status by spreading the Arabic language and enhancing its global presence.

It reinforces its role as a leading institute in teaching Arabic to non-native speakers and serves as a bridge for civilisational and cultural communication between the Sultanate of Oman and other countries of the world. - ONA
