KAZAN: The Sultanate of Oman took part in the opening of the International Economic Forum 'Russia and the Islamic World: Kazan Forum', as well as the inauguration ceremony marking Kazan as the Capital of Islamic Culture for 2026.
The Omani delegation is headed by Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali al Harthy, Under-Secretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs.
He attended, alongside the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, Rustam Minnikhanov, the Omani–Russian Business Symposium organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which brought together a large number of business leaders and investors from Oman and Russia.
The symposium discussed avenues for enhancing economic cooperation between the Sultanate of Oman and the Russian Federation; and explored prospects for expanding trade and investment ties.
The forum serves as a key platform for dialogue between Russia and the Islamic world, aimed at strengthening economic partnerships and broadening investment opportunities. — ONA
