Monterrey, Mexico: Mexico's Tigres UANL booked their place in the final of the CONCACAF Champions Cup on Tuesday after defeating Major League Soccer side Nashville to wrap up a 2-0 aggregate victory.
Tigres, chasing their second victory in the regional club tournament after winning the title in 2020, will face either Los Angeles FC or Toluca in the final.
The Mexican club, leading 1-0 after winning last week's semi-final first leg in Nashville, advanced to the May 30 final after a moment of magic from Argentine midfielder Juan Brunetta after 67 minutes.
Angel Correa set up the goal, gliding past his marker on the left flank to cut inside before rolling a pass into the path of Brunetta.
The 28-year-old sent the Nashville defence the wrong way with a deft feint as he collected the pass and then blasted an unstoppable shot into the roof of the net.
The goal sealed a largely lacklustre encounter which saw Nashville fail to register a shot on goal.
The defeat marked a disappointing end to the campaign for Nashville, who are leading Major League Soccer's Eastern Conference by four points and had eliminated Lionel Messi's Inter Miami in the quarter-finals.
