War costs France 4-6 billion euros so far: Minister

PARIS - The crisis in ​Iran ​and its repercussions on the energy markets have cost France anywhere between 4 ⁠billion euros ($4.71 billion) ⁠and 6 billion euros, said the country's economy minister ‌, Roland Lescure, ​on Tuesday.


This ⁠impact would ​include higher government ‌debt costs triggered by ​the current market environment, Lescure told French radio station RTL.


He added he ‌will present measures ​to freeze spending on Tuesday ​and ‌that ⁠Prime Minister Sebastien Lecornu would also announce ​steps to help ⁠consumers ​deal with higher energy prices on Tuesday evening.
