NIZWA: The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the National Employment Programme, organised the 'Tamkeen' forum on Wednesday in the Wilayat of Nizwa.


The forum is part of national efforts to enhance the readiness and competence of Omanis in the heritage and tourism sectors.


The forum targeted representatives from various tourism and heritage-related activities across the governorate, including travel and tourism agencies, tour operators and the hospitality sector, as part of an integrated approach to workforce development.


The forum highlighted the development of the tourism education and training system and reviewed the training programmes the ministry intends to implement in the coming phase to qualify national competencies in line with labour market requirements. - ONA
