

SALALAH: The College of Commerce and Business Administration (CCBA) at Dhofar University, in collaboration with the Dhofar University Centre for Sustainability, will organise Sustainability Week 2026 on April 13–14, at the University Conference Hall.
The event will be held under the auspices of Shaikh Naif bin Hamed bin Amer Fadhil, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Dhofar Governorate.
The event will be held under the theme ‘Bridging Culture and Innovation: Empowering Youth for Sustainability,’ and will bring together over 27 schools and colleges across the Dhofar region, providing a dynamic platform for showcasing innovative ideas and sustainable practices.
The event is supported by leading organisations including OQBI, OQEP, and United Securities, as main sponsors. The Sustainability Week aims to promote sustainability awareness and innovation among youth and is scheduled to take place from 9 am to 3 pm.
The programme will feature a wide range of sustainability-focused activities, including a Sustainable Business Exhibition and a Sustainability Projects Competition for secondary school, and college students.
The event reflects Dhofar University’s commitment to fostering sustainability awareness and empowering young people to contribute to a more sustainable future aligned with the goals of Oman Vision 2040.
Students, educators and members of the community are encouraged to attend and actively participate in the activities, which highlight creative solutions to environmental and social challenges.
The event is being organised by a committed team under the leadership of Dr Mariam Anil, Assistant Professor at the College of Commerce and Business Administration, Dhofar University.
