MUSCAT: Anwar bin Hilal al Jabri, Minister of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion met in Muscat on Tuesday with Dr Khalifa Rajab, Acting Minister of Oil and Gas of the State of Libya, and Dr Suhail Bou Sheikha, Minister of Economy and Trade of the State of Libya. During the meeting, discussions focused on means of enhancing economic, commercial and industrial cooperation, as well as increasing the volume of trade exchange between the Sultanate of Oman and the State of Libya.

The two sides also explored ways to strengthen supply chain integration between the industrial sectors of both countries, enhance industrial cooperation, attract investments and propose the establishment of joint industrial projects in priority areas of mutual interest. Discussions also covered investment in promising sectors, particularly energy, renewable energy and related industries, as well as organising specialised forums in sectors of common interest to attract Libyan investors to the Sultanate of Oman. Both parties affirmed their commitment to continued dialogue on studying opportunities for joint industrial investments and identifying export opportunities for Omani products in the Libyan market. - ONA
