Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) warned of a fraudulent website impersonating its official online platform in an attempt to deceive users and compromise their personal information.

According to the alert, the fake site mimics the appearance of the ROP’s official portal and targets computer users with the aim of carrying out financial fraud and data theft.

Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution when accessing online services, stressing the importance of verifying website authenticity before proceeding.

Users are advised not to click on suspicious links or share sensitive personal or financial information on unverified platforms.

The ROP emphasised that official services are provided only through its recognised channels, calling on individuals to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the relevant authorities.
