The Oman Handball Association (OHA) will hold its Annual General Assembly meeting under the chairmanship of Moosa bin Khamis al Balushi, Chairman of the Board, with the attendance of board members as well as presidents and representatives of affiliated clubs. The meeting is scheduled to take place at 4:00 pm at the Oman Olympic Committee Academy Hall in Muscat.
The association has extended invitations to all member clubs that meet the requirements stipulated in Articles (25) and (25 bis) of the statute. A total of 22 clubs are eligible to attend the meeting.
The agenda features several key items, beginning with the approval of the agenda, followed by the chairman’s address. Three members will then be appointed to review the meeting minutes. The assembly will also approve the minutes of the previous meeting and review the administrative and financial reports for the fiscal year ending 2025. In addition, the audited annual financial statements, including surplus and liabilities for the same period, will be presented for approval.
Discussions will also cover the proposed budget for 2026 and the appointment of external auditors for the upcoming financial year. Furthermore, the assembly will approve the formation of the Disciplinary and Appeals Committees, as well as endorse the Athletes’ Committee representative nominated for membership on the Board of Directors for the next term.
The meeting will also address proposals submitted by member clubs, which were filed in accordance with the association’s statutes at least 30 days prior to the assembly. These proposals are expected to enhance the role of clubs in developing Omani handball and support the federation’s future plans.
The outcomes of the meeting are anticipated to outline the federation’s road map for the upcoming phase, both administratively and technically, in alignment with clubs’ aspirations and the continued growth of the sport at both domestic and international levels.
