“Falah” delivered a dominant performance to win the Dubai Kahayla Classic, the opening race for Purebred Arabian horses over 2,000 metres on dirt (Group 1), held at Meydan Racecourse as part of the Dubai World Cup 2026 carnival. With a prize purse of $1 million, the race provided a thrilling start to one of the most prestigious events on the global horse racing calendar.

Owned by Shihab bin Harib al Busaidy, “Falah” was guided to victory by jockey Al Mutasim al Balushi and trained by Ahmed bin Ibrahim al Balushi. Competing against a strong field of elite Arabian horses, “Falah” showcased outstanding stamina and tactical awareness. He maintained a strong position throughout the race before accelerating decisively in the final stretch to secure a well-earned victory.

This success marks another milestone in “Falah’s” impressive career, further establishing him as one of the leading Purebred Arabian racehorses on the international stage. The win is not his first major achievement, as he previously claimed the prestigious His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik Cup earlier this season. In addition, he has recorded notable victories and top finishes in several major regional and international races, highlighting his consistency and high level of performance.

Trainer Ahmed bin Ibrahim al Balushi expressed his satisfaction following the race, praising the horse’s preparation and determination. He said:

“We had great confidence in Falah heading into this race. Our preparation was focused and carefully structured to ensure he reached peak condition at the right time. The competition was strong, but he showed exceptional determination and quality. This victory reflects the hard work of the entire team, and we are looking forward to more success in the future.”

Jockey Al Mutasim al Balushi also spoke about the achievement, emphasising the importance of race strategy and timing. He stated:

“Falah performed brilliantly from start to finish. I made sure to keep him relaxed during the early stages and gradually build momentum. When it mattered most, he responded perfectly and delivered a powerful finish. Winning at an event of this level is always special, and this victory means a lot to all of us.”

The Dubai Kahayla Classic remains one of the world’s premier races for Purebred Arabian horses, attracting top competitors from across the globe. “Falah’s” victory highlights not only his exceptional ability but also the growing prominence of Arabian horse racing on the international stage.

With this remarkable win, “Falah” continues to strengthen his legacy as an elite racehorse, proving once again his capability to compete at the highest level and setting his sights on further major achievements in the seasons ahead.
