Muscat: The Oman Basketball Association (OBA) has approved the schedule for the second round of the final qualifiers for the Youth Basketball League, with matches set to take place at the subsidiary hall of Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher from Thursday, April 2 to Sunday, April 5.


The second round will get underway on Thursday with two matches. Seeb will take on Nizwa at 6 pm, while Salalah will face Al Amerat at 8 pm.


The competition will continue on April 3, with another two matches. In the first game, Al Amerat will meet Seeb, while Nizwa will take on Salalah in the second fixture.


The second round will conclude on April 5, with two final matches. Al Amerat will play Nizwa at 5 pm, before Seeb meet Salalah at 7 pm in the closing game of the round.


The first round of the final stage, which featured four teams Seeb, Nizwa, Salalah and Al Amerat, produced a series of competitive and closely contested matches.

SEEB FINISH ON TOP


Seeb finished top of the standings with six points after recording three straight wins. They defeated Salalah 84-75, overcame Al Amerat 54-50, and beat Nizwa 58-49. Seeb scored 196 points overall, while conceding 174.


Salalah came second with five points after posting two wins, defeating Al Amerat 76-70 and Nizwa 80-77, while suffering their only defeat against Seeb, 75-84. Salalah scored 231 points and conceded the same total.


Al Amerat occupied third place with four points after claiming one win against Nizwa, 48-46, and losing to Seeb 50-54 and Salalah 70-76. The team scored 168 points and conceded 176.


Nizwa were placed fourth with three points after losing all three of their matches 58-49 against Seeb, 80-77 against Salalah, and 48-46 against Al Amerat. Nizwa scored 172 points and conceded 186 points.
