

Muscat: Al Bashayer Club secured a massive victory over Masirah with a 124–33 win in the match held at the secondary hall of Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex in Bausher, as part of the 2025–2026 General Basketball League. With this result, Al Bashayer raised their tally to six points after delivering an outstanding performance that showcased their high readiness.
Al Bashayer players displayed clear superiority throughout the game, fully controlling the contest in both defence and attack, with a strong team effort led by Noah al Mahrouqi, Saeed al Saadi, Hadeed Bait Bakhit, Osama al Riyami and Mahmood al Souli — who all played key roles in widening the gap and scoring a large number of points. On the other hand, Masirah relied mainly on Mohammed al Mehrami and Jalal al Musallami in their scoring attempts.
The match began with force from Al Bashayer, who quickly took the lead through accurate shots by Noah al Mahrouqi. Although Masirah managed to come back and level the score at 5–5 through Mohammed al Mashri, Al Bashayer soon regained control and pushed forward with confidence. A brilliant three-pointer from Al Mahrouqi restored the lead to 8–5 before the team completely took charge of the quarter, adding points successively through Mahmood al Souli, Mohammed al Wahaibi and Al Mahrouqi, ending the first quarter with a commanding 35–7 advantage.
The second quarter saw no change to the match's direction, as Al Bashayer continued their dominance offensively and defensively. Hadeed Bait Bakhit and Mahmood al Souli added more points to make it 39–7, followed by a series of fast-break attacks and solid defence that further widened the gap, thanks to contributions from Abdulridha al Battashi, Saif al Toobi and Saeed al Saadi. The first half concluded with Al Bashayer comfortably ahead 62–9.
FULL MOMENTUM
The momentum remained entirely in Al Bashayer’s favour in the third quarter, as the team maintained their pace and control over the court while Masirah struggled to overcome the strong defensive wall. Al Bashayer added 29 points, while Masirah only managed 8, ending the third quarter 91–17 for Al Bashayer.
The final quarter followed the same script, with Al Bashayer continuing to score and further increasing the margin, adding 33 more points, while Masirah scored 16, sealing a deserved and dominant victory for Al Bashayer with a final score of 124–33, after an outstanding performance across all four quarters.
The match was officiated by a refereeing crew consisting of Mazen al Hilali as first referee, Taha al Amri as second referee and Thabit al Hinai as third referee.
Meanwhile, the scorer’s table was managed by Rayan al Dhabooni, Al Baraa al Hishami and Fatima al Harthy.
