Christchurch, New Zealand: South Africa completed a 3-2 series win over New Zealand on Wednesday as Connor Esterhuizen smacked 75 off 33 balls to set up a 33-run victory in the fifth T20 in Christchurch.

Esterhuizen's knock included five fours and six sixes, and powered South Africa to 187-4 before the tourists restricted New Zealand to 154-8.

Gerald Coetzee, Wiaan Mulder and Ottneil Baartman all took two wickets for South Africa. Bevon Jacobs top-scored with 36 for New Zealand, who never threatened to reach their target.

It was Esterhuizen's second straight half-century of the series. The 24-year-old wicketkeeper made his international debut in the opening match as South Africa sent an experimental tour squad to New Zealand following the T20 World Cup.
