HM to offer Eid prayer at Al Khor Mosque

MUSCAT: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will offer the blessed Eid Al Fitr prayer at Al Khor Mosque in the Governorate of Muscat on Friday. A statement issued on Thursday by the Diwan of Royal Court reads as follows: "His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik will offer the blessed Eid Al Fitr prayer 1447 AH at Al Khor Mosque in the Governorate of Muscat. Joining His Majesty in prayer will be a number of their highnesses, members of the Royal Family; Al Busaid dignitaries, ministers, advisors, commanders of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and other military and security services, heads of the diplomatic missions of Islamic countries, members of the State Council and Majlis Ash'shura, under-secretaries, walis, CEOs, shaikhs and citizens. On this felicitous occasion, the Diwan of the Royal Court is honoured to extend the sincere greetings to His Majesty the Sultan, accompanied by supplications to the Almighty Allah to make this a joyous and blessed Eid for His Majesty, for all citizens and residents in the Sultanate of Oman, and for all Muslims worldwide. May Allah the Almighty perpetuate joyful occasions for our dear homeland, and may He bring this blessed occasion and similar ones back upon His Majesty the Sultan while he enjoys good health, wellness and long life. Every year, may all be safe, prosperous, and happy."

HM exchanges greetings

His Majesty the Sultan has exchanged greetings with his fellow sovereigns, presidents, and leaders of Arab and Islamic nations, on the occasion of the forthcoming blessed Eid Al Fitr for the Hijri year 1447. In his cables, His Majesty extended his cordial felicitations to them, and to the entire Muslim community worldwide, imploring the Almighty Allah to render this occasion one of beneficence, divine blessing, and jubilation for all. In reciprocation, the monarchs and heads of state conveyed in their cables to His Majesty their utmost sincere greetings and felicitations on this auspicious occasion, supplicating to the Almighty Allah to bestow upon His Majesty good health and happiness, to grant the Omani people further advancement and prosperity, and to bless the Islamic nation with perpetual peace and exultation.

350 get Royal Pardon

His Majesty the Sultan, the Supreme Commander, has issued a Royal pardon to a number of prisoners convicted of different cases. They included 350 citizens and foreign inmates, according to an official source at the Royal Oman Police (ROP). The Royal pardon of His Majesty, the Supreme Commander, coincides with the Eid Al Fitr 1447 AH. It also comes in consideration of the families of the prisoners.
