AL RUSTAQ: The Governorate of Al Batinah South on Thursday signed contracts worth RO 376,200 for the management and operation of slaughterhouses in the governorate’s wilayats.


The contracts were signed by Eng Masoud bin Said al Hashmi, Governor of Al Batinah South, and representatives of the contracting companies.


Eng Yarub bin Qahtan al Yahy’ee, ​Assistant Director-General of Al Batinah Municipality South, said that the contracts constitute a step forward in upgrading the existing partnership with the private sector in managing and operating municipal facilities.

Al Yahy’ee added that the contracts contribute to developing the system of services extended to the local community, including the operation of municipal slaughterhouses in the wilayats of Al Batinah South Governorate.


He pointed out that, through these contracts, Al Batinah South affirms its keenness to ensure the application of the highest standards of public health and abide by approved veterinary and technical specifications.
