AL SEEB: The Al Seeb Ramadhan Festival began on Sunday in the Wilayat of Al Seeb, bringing together entrepreneurs, productive families and visitors for a five-day celebration of commerce and culture.
The festival is organised by the Social Development Committee in Al Seeb in cooperation with the Omani Women’s Association in the wilayat.
The opening ceremony was attended by several female entrepreneurs from across Oman as well as participants from Gulf and other Arab countries, alongside a number of local productive families showcasing their handmade products and home-based industries.
Hilal bin Hamad al Sarmi, general supervisor of the festival, said the event aims to stimulate commercial and recreational activity in the wilayat while providing a platform for entrepreneurs and families to display and market their products.
Visitors can explore a wide range of consumer goods, handicrafts and locally produced items displayed across the festival halls.
The event also features cultural activities, including the recitation of national and emotional poetry by poets Saif al Alawi and Adel al Awadi. The festival was inaugurated under the auspices of Shaikh Ahmed bin Ali al Shihi, Wali of Al Seeb and Chairman of the Social Development Committee in the wilayat. — ONA
