Emirates has said it will resume operations. Passengers who have confirmed bookings for this afternoon’s flights may proceed to the airport.

"This includes customers transiting in Dubai, if their connecting flight is also operating."

Earlier in the day, the airline said it is stopping all operations inlcuding special flights, until further notice.

Over the past few days, Emirates has started operating over 100 special flights for the relief of stranded passengers.

Emirates said it will monitor the situation and will develop an operational schedule accordingly.
