HM issues two Royal Decrees

Muscat:  His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik on Sunday issued two Royal decrees, reading as follows:

 

Royal Decree No (39/2026) on promulgating the system of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones.

 

Article (1) states that the system of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones attached to this decree shall be enforced.

 

Article (2) stipulates that the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Special Economic Zones and Free Zones shall issue the regulations and decisions necessary to implement the provisions of the system attached to this decree. Till such time, the existing regulations and decisions shall continue to be enforced without prejudice to the provisions of this decree and the attached system.

 

Article (3) cancels all that contradicts this decree and the attached system or contravenes their provisions.

 

Article (4) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from the day following its date of publishing.

 

Royal Decree No (40/2026) on ratifying the Instrument of Amendment to the Constitution of the International Labour Organization of 1986.

 

Article (1) ratifies the Instrument of Amendment to the Constitution of the International Labour Organization of 1986 in accordance with the version attached to this decree.

 

Article (2) stipulates that the competent authorities shall deposit the document of ratification of the aforementioned instrument in accordance with its provisions.

 

Article (3) says that this decree shall be published in the Official Gazette and enforced from its date of issue.
