The Foreign Ministry on Saturday said that it is following with great concern the rapidly evolving situation in several volatile areas of the region in light of current developments.

It affirmed that the situation of Omani citizens residing in these areas is being closely and continuously monitored by the Sultanate of Oman's diplomatic missions there, in coordination with relevant authorities, to ensure their safety and security.

The Ministry urged all Omani citizens in the affected areas to exercise extreme caution, adhere to the instructions of local authorities, and avoid gatherings and areas of tension.

The Ministry also called on citizens to maintain continuous contact with the relevant diplomatic missions via the published emergency numbers and to register on the Foreign Ministry application to update their information and receive necessary guidance.
