MUSCAT: The Youth Centre has announced the launch of a 2026 comprehensive package of training programmes during the holy month of Ramadhan. The programmes, to be held at Muscat Grand Mall, target the age group of 15-34 years. The initiative forms part of efforts to develop young people's skills and help them make optimum use of their free time.

The package is set to benefit at least 1,000 young men and women through a variety of programmes that combine professional development in different fields, innovation and the promotion of cultural identity and social responsibility.

The initiative seeks to groom a generation that is more capable of meeting the demands of the future. It includes an introduction to the arts of Arabic calligraphy, sports reporting skills covering the basic features of commentary, the promotion of values of teamwork and sportsmanship and the introduction of “3D Concrete Printing” concepts that focus on architectural and structural design related to modern technology.

The package also includes a programme dedicated to developing the skills of the blind, notably on the use of artificial intelligence technologies and applications that contribute to facilitating movement, reading texts and dealing with smart devices that promote independence. - ONA
