BUKHA: Officials in Musandam Governorate outlined major development achievements recorded in 2025 and presented priority projects for the coming period during the governorate’s annual media meeting held in Bukha.

The meeting, held under the patronage of Faisal bin Hamoud al Busaidi, aimed to strengthen engagement between government institutions, the media, and local communities while highlighting progress across municipal, infrastructure, and public service sectors.

Presentations delivered during the session showcased key development initiatives implemented over the past year, including departmental performance indicators, completed programmes, and future investment priorities. Officials also outlined strategic plans designed to enhance service delivery, support economic and tourism growth, and improve the quality of life for residents.

An open dialogue session brought together senior officials from municipal, administrative, and executive offices, allowing media representatives to raise questions, present suggestions, and discuss development challenges facing the governorate. Participants emphasised the importance of ongoing collaboration with the media to ensure transparency and strengthen public awareness of development initiatives.

Officials stressed that regular community engagement meetings will continue to be organised, bringing together representatives from villages and local communities to review project implementation, discuss development priorities, and gather feedback that can guide future planning. Greater coordination among government entities, including data sharing and integrated planning, was also highlighted as essential to accelerating project delivery.

Among the key recommendations emerging from the meeting were the enhancement of municipal and environmental services, continued improvement of public facilities, and the implementation of initiatives supporting cleanliness, public health, and safety. Authorities also emphasised the need to upgrade road networks connecting ports, border crossings, and neighbouring governorates, including expanding dual carriageways and addressing high-risk traffic areas to facilitate smoother commercial and tourism transport flows.

Officials noted that strengthening infrastructure, improving service quality, and maintaining active dialogue with the community remain central pillars of the governorate’s long-term development strategy in Oman.
