As part of ongoing infrastructure maintenance work in Muscat Governorate, Muscat Municipality, in coordination with the Royal Oman Police, announces a partial closure of the traffic light intersection on the old airport bridge.
This closure will affect traffic coming from the south via Muscat Expressway, specifically northbound and left turns towards Al Mawaleh.
The right turn towards Al Qurm will remain open, as per the attached map.
This closure will be in effect starting tomorrow, Thursday, 19th February 2026.
To alleviate traffic congestion, motorists are urged to use alternative routes and exercise caution around the diversions.
