Muscat: Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam and Indonesia have announced that Thursday will mark the first day of the Holy Month of Ramadhan for the year 1447 AH.
Religious authorities in the respective countries confirmed the sighting of the Ramadhan crescent, declaring Thursday as the beginning of the blessed month.
