MUSCAT: The Military Technical College (MTC) celebrated its Annual Day with a vibrant programme featuring national and popular musical performances by the Royal Oman Army Band and the Royal Oman Air Force Band.


The ceremony also included a poetry recital, an impressive military marching display and a Taekwondo demonstration, reflecting the college’s emphasis on discipline, physical excellence and cultural appreciation.


The event was held under the auspices of Major General Hamed bin Ahmed Sakroun, President of the Academy of Strategic and Defence Studies.


It was attended by Rear Admiral Saif bin Nasser al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Military Technical College, along with a number of senior officers of the Sultan’s Armed Forces, members of the college and invited guests.


The Military Technical College is regarded as a leading academic institution that provides integrated educational and training programmes combining theoretical knowledge with practical application, in line with the latest standards.


The college prepares qualified cadres to meet the technical and engineering requirements of the Sultan’s Armed Forces and offers advanced technical courses in high-tech military fields, as well as specialised programmes designed to enhance operational efficiency and technical readiness. —ONA
