

MUSCAT: The Joint Oman-Türkiye Business Council held a meeting on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Oman Expo and International Forum. The meeting was organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening economic and investment cooperation between the two countries. The discussions explored mechanisms for activating and linking the private sector from both the Omani and Turkish sides, as well as ways to revitalise the council's activities through the holding of periodic meetings, whether in person or online.
The meeting also highlighted the significance of the Oman Expo and International Forum and its role in enhancing networking opportunities and building commercial and investment partnerships between private sector institutions in both nations.
The meeting was chaired on the Omani side by Shaikh Salem bin Abdullah al Rawas, while the Turkish side was led by Yunus Ata.
Shaikh Salem bin Abdullah al Rawas emphasised the pivotal role of the council in fostering trade and investment partnerships and opening new horizons for cooperation between private sector establishments in the two countries.
For his part, Yunus Ata reviewed the development of economic relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Türkiye, praising the role of the Joint Business Council in facilitating direct communication between business owners and enhancing opportunities for joint investment. - ONA
